Classic events

I have been allowed out to play by SWMBO for three weeks in the summer, last week in July and first two weeks of August. My treat for finishing doing up the house for the last two years. Since we have a young family I feel there should be a reason to go (they wil be staying behind) so was wondering if anybody knew of any classic gatherings during this period that I could head for. Keen to try and get to the SW of Ireland but open to suggestions? Based in Jersey and the old girl is a Nicholson 36 (1965) so being a glass hull preculdes me from some events. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I like the idea of a 'fitting out lunch'. I had one of my regular crew helping me today so I bought him a pie and a coffee in the club. Is that the sort of thing they mean?
