Classic Boat subscription - buyer beware!

I asked Zinio support re the cancellation process and got this back:

Thank you for contacting Zinio Customer Support.

When you subscribe on zinio.com, we can manage, cancel and refund your purchase.
We charge back the credit card, gift card or the Paypal account used to purchase the magazine.


I've noted the word "we"; so they manage the cancellation, not you. To put it totally in their hands is, IMO, wrong. It should be as easy for you to manage the cancellation as it is to sign up.



In their response they have clarified that payment via gift card or Paypal can be cancelled - the website information only refers to cancelling by card.


In these circumstances if I were to subscribe then I would use Paypal as I can control/stop any standing order/DD type payment.

it takes months to find a customer, and seconds to lose one
