Classic Boat Charters

Our daughter and her family live in Southampton and we are thinking of visiting (from Vancouver) in the Spring. While we are there I'd really like to get out on the Solent, maybe circle Wight on something like a big old pilot cutter or the like.

Can anybody here point me towards a person or outfit that offers day (skippered) charters on something like that?

I have 45 years sailing experience on boats to 48' and have owned numerous boats to 43' so I'm not looking to simply be a passenger but I also don't want to skipper anything bareboat - just looking to fulfill a couple of gaps in my experience bank.

Any info or directions to specific businesses would be appreciated.

Worthwhile giving this outfit a shout to see if they have anything that meets your requirements, although mostly longer than day charters they might put something on. I have sailed on the pilot cutter Lizzie May which is in their fleet. Lovely boat:
