Classic Boat Auction

I see that on June 7th at the Child Beale they will be holding an auction of boats and other nautical stuff. Details from someone called Gillian Nahum 07813 917730.
Obviously this coincides with the Beale Park Boat Show.

Gillian is "Hambleden Sales and Charter".
She seems to be putting together a good catalogue. I hope it works for her. I shall certainly be going.

I got to get my finger out and contact her as I have several items to go in. I wonder where she is publicising the auction. It certainly needs bundles, hope she has the experience. Of course Philips were the kiddies, I doubt if she will generate that much interest but I hope so.

Oh, the memories.....

I did a boat auction at Assured Boating on the Thames ( remember them ! )

40 - 50 boats in the `starter boat` catagory - or money pit as you guys would call it.

The infamous owner, who was not unfamiliar with bankruptcy proceedings, was something of a jack-the-lad, but to be fair, paid my fees on the day.

Being used to vehicle auctions the sale was difficult for buyers without a high tolerance to the risk factor, as you couldn`t start the boats or even get on board usually, so I had to re-write the Terms & Conditions substantially !!
