Idly leafing through CB last night I spotted an internal ad saying that the CB website can tell you the nearest newsagent that stocks said tome.

As I usually don't get a copy as the newsagents near me don't seem to carry it I thought I'd try it out.

My house has been here from Victorian times so the post code is pretty well established seeing the house was here before the inception of post codes.

Imagine my surprise then, to be told by the CB website, that I lived at an unknown postcode.

Whilst I am no nearer finding my nearest point of supply I do hope that the navigation skills of the hacks on CB are a little better than those of the website or I fear when the season gets under way there may be a paucity of articles in the mag especially if the local coastguard emulates the CB website and tells the unfortunate scribes that their position as reported does not exist.

I was in St Kilda a couple of years ago and was told that it was the only inhabited island in the entire British Islands - including 'dominions' that did not have a post code.
St Helena, Falklands, Diego Garcia even Sth Georgia have postcodes but not St Kilda and now apparently a part of Bristol !!!!!!!!!!
