Thames speeding, live on the BBC!

I was coxing in the Serpentine Regatta, about 1961 I think, and Oxford turned up with the new blades. At the time they referred to them as shovel blades. I don't know what they call them now but they were quite a revolution at the time and caused a huge amount of interest......... The there's the paddle things. At one time they were beautifully sculptured, now they look like shovels!
I'm sure they had AIS fitted! Seems to me that the only river users that have to abide by the speed limit are the private boat owners (unless you have a TV presenter on board).
Who is Claire Balding ?
Oh, was she in the Rocky Horror Show ? Would I fancy her ?
Probably....Would I fancy her ?
