A lovely old Fletcher, nice.

Surprised they weren't shouted at by all those rowers on the tide way today.

The there's the paddle things. At one time they were beautifully sculptured, now they look like shovels!

I was coxing in the Serpentine Regatta, about 1961 I think, and Oxford turned up with the new blades. At the time they referred to them as shovel blades. I don't know what they call them now but they were quite a revolution at the time and caused a huge amount of interest.

I'm sure they had AIS fitted! Seems to me that the only river users that have to abide by the speed limit are the private boat owners (unless you have a TV presenter on board).

Unless of course the river is closed ;) She gotta get the pronto for the end of the reserves so she can be there at the end of the boat race proper.
