Had a lovely evening chatting to the Pheonix's and Lynn last night, and we got on to the topic of pirate weekend and the Clacton air show, how we could combine the 2 and try to kick start Pirate weekend again. So we propose Clacton Airshow on Friday 28th August, evening of the 28th probably at Shotley, Pirates at Stone Point Sat 29th, which gives 2 days to get home as its Bank holiday weekend. Low water Walton on Saturday is 17:23 so great for bbq and bonfire on the beach.
For those of you that don't know, we all (adults too) dress up as pirates, treasure hunt for the kids, have a bbq on the beach, everyone brings wood for a bonfire and usually some lovely peeps bring musical instruments for the evenings entertainment.
As a new challenge Lynn suggested this year we have a raft race! (Bring your own materials).
Thought if we set the date early we could promote it (and the ECF) to any kids boats we meet between now and then, and also book looking after grandkids, nieces, nephews etc that weekend. As most will be at Shotley Friday and Sunday night there would also be the possibility of bringing people with tents.
So, who's in?
