Here's me - Mr. Worrier...

Coney Island given a glowing report by my engineer and a "don't worry too much about them small blisters" by a local boat builder. The sticky reverse lever problem was a dodgy cable, now replaced and the motors are running just fine. Re-antifouled the legs and buffed the bottom and she is ready to take on the Winter season.

I will take her back to Porthmadog in the next two weeks (the sea-state was a bit tasty today, even for me!) and get on with enjoying my boating.

A warm welcome to the "open season" to one and all who enjoy Winter boating. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It,s blowing a bit of a hooligan on Anglesey right now.
Went out earlier today (about 18.30 hours) to give my repacked stern gland a bit of a tweek. Even in the relatively sheltered Straits all I could see was sky blue water sky brown water (bit shallow there!) sky water water sky, splish crash Yahoo, Yahoo surfing now, turn round slap bang crash splerdoosh ,splosh,Yahoo, Yahoo mobile phone dissapears aft MBM (only Septembers issue, think it came out in July!) dives into the Oggin, just rescued My new Baseball hat thingy. (Present off No2 daughter recently, emblasoned Ancient Mariner!)

"Crew", My older Brother (none boaty) looked a bit looked a bit nervous. "Is it always like this out here?"
Naw sometimes its Rough! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So we went in!
Not mutch of a sea trial but bleedin good fun! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Chuffed your boats ready for some Winter fun.
Still gonna try and get round the corner to visit, leaving Her in untill at least the end of Jan then just a quick lift for a spruce up during Feb.
Usually a bit blowy till the end of March but you never know!
Cheers ---K /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bizarre thing about Pwllheli was that we saw the water off Criccieth at 09:30 as we drove (by car) round the headland and it was real lumpy with lots of white caps. We then did all the work we wanted to on CI and 5 hours later drove back the same way with the SW wind increasing it's stength and when we came over the headland going back, there wasn't a white cap in sight.

Blimmin bizarre!!

Think the tide would have been ebbing then so not so mutch "wind against " maybe?
Sometimes you look from the shore as you drive along and think (blimey it looks ok for a blast!)
Then by the time your underway the Sea has gone all lumpy! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
