This is a post-merger (is there are term for this? - like Lakesailoring?): bringing together the sailing-at-night-without-lifejacket-photo on the YM front cover and my question about spinnaker names.

I noticed last night that the spinnaker on the YM front cover seems to be the wrong way round: port hand on the starboard side. Could it be that the photo was inverted?

Any comments there at YM?

Great photo by the way: the black background (enhanced by clever photography) really does make the image a little different from the blue-enhanced covers that we tend to see on YM. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I haven't seen the photo - but I never bothered about making sure the spinnaker was the "right way round". "Right way up" is important, but I never really cared if I attached the green clew to the port or starboard sheets.
