Looks fantastic - I'll keep Karouise away, I thought my 40 yo topsides were looking good with a polish over the winter but that job is excellent.

Have a great season and keep the Var 2 to 4 blowing from 22 May to end of June in North Sea and English Channel!

And who exactly appointed you as my accountant?


Anyway, after 5 years I finally mustered the courage to work out the total 'cost'.
Initial purchase + some bits and bobs + the refit of these last 2 years = 135K (just over)
New furling gear & sails next winter -> 7K

So, could I have a boat like Guapa - new - for 142K?
Don't think so.
Boats I do fancy like the Hinckley SW 42, Breehorn 41 or the Moody 41 Classic are all at least twice that.

Would I ever go through all of this again? Not for all the tea in China!!!

PS: last mortgage payment in July. Then she's mine, all mine

Mermaid had her topsides painted with Awlgrip around 10 years ago. Still polishes up well.

Fox's guestimate 2-3 more weeks work.
RigMagic to do rigging not later than 3rd week May.
Then survey (Martin Evans)

Plan to launch 21-24 May.
Should leave us some time for some spring cleaning and a test sail before Ostend @ Anchor

We were up at Fox's over Easter and saw her in the shed, while they were shunting boats around. She looked smart then - but absolutely superb now.
