I will mention a few things on board that I really appreciate and that could be good gift ideas for others, and am hoping on getting some good ideas myself here from you guys.
Brother label maker, great for putting instructive and informative labels here and there, can also be used to label wires (I tend to forget which wire goes where 6 months or so after I have installed them).
Multimeter. A must on a boat
Nigel Calders book. When I first got it it looked overwhelming but I have used it a lot and it is a great reference to reach for when there is something you can't figure out.
Long life storage bags for vegetables. saves money.
A good long range Wi-Fi antenna, gotta have it these days.
Small portable dvd player that can play .avi and .mpeg files and read from a small hard drive as well as being connected to a tv.
