The second high tide is usually the highest, but falls rapidly straight afterwards so you can't be late.

I'm in Elkins and next to me is a Windy 42. I suspect that there is still a wait for either yard mentioned. It does get shallow but most motor boats to be ok. Entrance very sheltered from SW to N to E'ly. Possibly worth a phone call to either yard as if you are only for a short period it may fill a gap.

A beautiful spot to be based, but stupidly shallow. We were in Rossiters for some years and loved it - a 5 minute walk into town, if that. But eventually the opportunities to get a shaft drive boat in and out drove us away. Rossiters can sometimes accomodate an overnight visitor but you have to phone as they don't have a VHF.
