Choosing a new mainsail - advice please

I suggest you talk to Moby Sails in Marmaris. They made me a very nice genoa last year. They have a large loft, and do all the work themselves.

Who said I was frightened, and how was my reply to another thread related to what I said in this. Was my advice bad about a 3rd reef, why do you feel the need to make the reply you did? Didn't mummy cuddle you as a child?

Didn,t have a MUMMY (EGYPTIAN???).

I had a MAMMY, she was the worlds BEST CUDDLERRER!!!.

Reread your posts, the connection is obvious, an I,m a bit/lot thick, your advice about your not 'lashing out' on the 3rd reef, in the first place 'is spot on', but it must have cost a bit extra postage etc, Eh? Think about HK when you buy again, indulge your self with the 'bells and whistles' with the money you will save! Bill.

i have the Oyster 37 ( IOR one tonner )
same rig as your boat
i have a F/B main from Gowen with Friedricksen cars to all battens + Head Board with slugs between cars.
now 8 seasons old sail still good cars as new, its a good system though not cheap

Actually, without trying to be pedantic it didn't.

As it was going back for the first year, kemps pick up the bill, it is part of the deal, first winter your sails go back to the loft for a wash and inspection. Any faults are rectified under warranty, unless they are owner damage obviously.

I also had a UV strip fitted to the head sail I bought the previous year, at the same time. I bought that very late in the season, so they let me send it the following year. So both sails returned to the loft, picked up from my front door cost me nothing.

The 3rd reef came in at about £55.00 I think. How much to send your sails back to HK? Every internet purchased item with problems puts you out of pocket. The return is always paid by the customer, normally at the PO, normally 2 or 3 times that which it costs a distribution company. How much to send your sail back to HK if it is wrong, or you have measured badly? How many months without your sails if there is a problem. How many UK skills do we need to loose to the Chinese before people realise that it can't go on?

If you think so little of the generations below you, maybe it is for the best that you got what you could out of the uk and left. Be thankful though, that some of us are trying to keep the UK as a country and paying your pension by purchasing UK based product, to mock me for this is pretty selfish on your behalf.

Haven't actually had any pension yet, too much of a lad yet!

But it,s been worked for and paid, in the UK, can,t be fairer than that, can I?

Can,t help wondering how you can survive, buying only UK produced products, Bill.
