Chinese diesel heater woes

You must be freezing. My Webasto does over 1000 hours every year and it didn't need a new glow plug after only 350 hours. :)
At least you can get to the glowplug on the chinese heaters (£12.50) by just taking the upper cover off rather than removing and then disassembling the whole unit to get to it (Webasto glowplug £115.43) although I have to say when it's working the Webasto does put out more heat and regulates it better (Airtop EVO 5500) but so it should...:)

Just had a look on Butler's site, I could buy 21 (at the price I bought the last one) for the cost of a marine kit EVO 5500, yes I know the fittings are better and it has the through hull exhaust etc and believe me I would buy from Webasto rather than the Chinese at the drop of a hat if only they would charge sensible prices.

I have an eber d3lc since 2013 and it works perfectly
I had a 1996 vintage D3LC and likewise it has worked perfectly, now sold the boat summer 2020, but still going strong as far as I am aware - twenty four years and running well.

It's the temperature senser located on top of the heat exchanger its a well known fault with these heaters available from ebay, easy to replace utube videos show how.
Thanks for all the info guys. I did change the board . No change . I changed the lcd remote. No change. The next thing on my list was the temp sensor because it seems like it’s trying to cool itself down. No codes though. After that it goes in the chuck . Lol

Buy webasto pay 13 times.
Yup, pay 10 times more because they are ripping you off and they have been found guilty of price fixing. Can see why people love giving them their money ?.
Last time i looked an eber injection moulded plastic y piece was around £32.
A guy was fabricating them out of 316 @ £30.
Gotta love how some people will pay way over the odds just because a company has great marketing.
