Yup, off to Barbados tomarrow for a trip on a 'big boat'. Not that i will enjoy a couple of weeks in the sun, eating all that lovely grub.no its only so that I can earn a few Brownie points from the Mrs. against next years £££££$$$$$ boating drain. Happy Xmas [must'nt mention Christ] to all on the forum. Dave.

I've exp'd -35C at Yasnaya Polyana, Tolstoy's country home, many years ago and thought that was cold, but -47, that's VERY dangerous if your extremities are not well protected even for a short time.
It was a chilly 17.5C here today.
