I hope that IPC won't mind me drawing your attention to a new web service that has been created by my small web audio firm. It's called Voicealizer (http://www.voicealizer.com) and the service enables people to post voice messages to web pages by phone - no computer required. I am mentioning it here because we had sailors and motor boaters in mind when we designed it. We gave some accounts away at the beginning of the year and are very pleased that Chichester Harbour Conservancy are using it on their site to make navigation safety broadcasts - see here: http://www.conservancy.co.uk/broadcast.htm and that this chap - http://www.soulsailor.co.uk - a dinghy sailor, is also using it to report live from the water at dinghy events. If you have a blog, personal site or sailing club site it is worth having a look at Voicealizer. You'll need Flash installed (you probably already do ) and speakers to listen. I think (and hope) that there a lot of applications for it in the marine environment. I'll shut up now.
