Chichester Moorings: winter insurance cover?

My insurer of six years without a claim (GJW) is refusing winter cover on a Chichester Harbour Commission mooring at Itchenor. In the past I've been out of the water or in a marina in winter. Do people use these moorings year round? If so, I imagine they must be insured. Any idea who offers year round cover? I would expect a premium adjustment, but is the risk that much greater in winter?

Bishop Skinner cover me for 12 months in commission in Portsmouth Harbour - can't see that Portsmouth's much different from Chi.

I also keep boat at Itchenor and get all year round cover from Craftinsure.
On a similar note Craftinsure chaerge me extra for trips to France as I am under 26ft. Cost per trip initially £30 which when you consider my anual policy is only £120 seems outragous. When dug deeper was offered anual cover for France for £42 but this option was not made clear origanaly, it pays to ask!!!!

I am also insured with GJW and they have covered me in Chichester harbour at Bosham laid up afloat for the past 5-6 years, they paid out in 2000, when my mooring broke after a gale, (it was a small claim) but reassuring that they did not try and deny responsibility like St Margaret’s did on a previous occasion.

How much and why ????

110 quid ...... annual Brest to Elbe cover

All I have to do is advise KC Powell of intentions / lay-up / afloat etc.

The Excess changes depending on winter / summer etc. but is accepatble ..... but premium stays same.
