Actually, on a serious note, it is interesting that the HM has bought this up as an excuse for reduced takings and visitors each time, the very man responsible for policing the harbour. He left recently. If you are really bored keep searching the IW council website and look at some of the more recent minutes, they show some very different reasons...;)

I think he is actually a chatbot - haven't you noticed how he just recycles what is said to him and then repeats it back - he is shared between several sailing forums, remember the 70's forum and flying forums.

There's people who argue with him on the flying forum totally bemused by the sailing references that get dropped in, and God know's what the people on the retro 70's forum where he picks up other phrases think of it all... ;)

It would certainly explain the unusual phraseology and why sometimes the words are in the wrong order...

Being new on here I haven't quite got my head round you two yet. I do find your bickering mildly annoying when I'm actually trying to follow a topic, but I guess once I've learnt to ignore it I'll be OK. It's just a shame there isn't a button I can press to give me an already edited thread......would save an awful lot of time!

I'm just a robocop style thingie, or more correctly called an experienced sailor who's made enough mistakes to be glad to be here and willing to take on insulting berks who spout nonsense ! :)

You must like it though because you keep chipping in - you're the 4th highest contributor to this thread. :encouragement: And you clearly haven't ventured into the lounge yet...

(Don't tell him, but I get paid by the post to keep Seajet occupied and keep all his rubbish in one thread to give everyone else a rest :D)

I tell you every time, I'm not interested in sailing dinghies with you and it certainly doesn't contribute anything to the debate. I only bring it up every time so you can challenge me to make yourself feel better after losing the argument. ;)

I'm a cruiser not a racer - you don't do RIBs, jetskis or proper cruiser boats; I don't do dinghies or trailer sailers. Each to their own...:encouragement:

To be honest i have totally forgotten what the thread was about in the first place !!!
 
What about a duel with blunderbusses in balloons over the sewage farm as per 'Those Magificent Men In Their Flying Machines'. First one to hit the poo is a sissy.

I think Seajet started the problem around thread 9 with rants about the walking dead & ambulance drivers sounding their sirens.
How that equates to frolicking in s..t i am not sure, but we made it, somehow !!!!
