Hi Guys,

I have been completely blown away by what furnox DS-3 has done to my outboard. From nothing it now pumps like a new machine.

If I fun this through the volvo 2002 for 15 mins is it going to knacker the thermostat? I am sure that I have read that I should remove it before a flush but that seems to invlove finding and replacing various seals and the whole process makes the amature in me very edgy!

Its easy enough to remove the thermostat on the engine and you would need to do so to make sure the cleaner got to every place it was needed and also to allow you to flush through with fresh afterwards. However, if I remember rightly the thermostat housing is thin walled and prone to corrosion so do it with care.
