Check your PTT buttons.

Mine too, SH 270 HH.Stops transmitting after 5 min.
Little story: We were taking off from Peterborough airfield, the radio didn´t seem to work but we kept on for the intercom facility. Just after takeoff the engine quit. I, in the right seat, was trying to sort the prob. The commercial pilot in the left seat looked ahead and decided to turn back. ( Generally a no-no) Luckily the A/C had a good glide angle and we managed to do half a circuit and land across the runway. He said " If you think we will miss the hedge, get the gear down" I did and we landed with some of the hedge in the undercarrage. No damage to the A/C. Apparently the radio was stuck on transmit. The whole, slightly lurid, conversation between us was heard, and recorded, in the tower. Someone later told me they used to play it at the Christmas parties. We were completly un-aware of anything other than a discussion of the situation in normal tones.

When I was in the ambulance service working with a rather overweight collegue I had a phone call from one of the control room despatchers...

She advised me if M*** wanted to continue slagging off the imcompetent controllers we should check our radio.

Where he was so large M*** had to sit with his knees apart and was leaning against the PTT switch. The whole of the control room had heard his opinions. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
