Looking at a bigger boat and it would be too large to use the MTYC slip. Where do the panel reckon is the cheapest yard for a yearly week ashore so that muggins gets to do the a/f, polish the hull and do all those other jobs that are a lot cheaper at my hourly rate than a yards? Preferably below Windsor or it becimes a pain to get to.

Just about everyone that I have spoken to who has used Bridge marine has a horror story to tell about the damage they have done in the process or poor quality of work - me included. I understand that their latest new engineer comes from a background of the Peugot car trade, but once knew someone who had a boat. I am amazed that so many keep going back and trust that in due course they will work out that the few pounds cheaper it may be to do the job is just not worth the grief (and expense) that follows. I have never returned and I suggest you stay well clear - Andrew, many members of the club you mention have had such misfortune.

Andrew did not mention using the yards labour, he wants to DIY, therefore he will not be using their engineer. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
