Cheapest marina in the uk

Ok. So when i chuck it all in and run away on my boat......

Cant see myself spending a lot of time on a mooring. I am too soft. And need some 3/4g at least for work/communication.

So where is the cheapest marina in the uk?

Ignore the liveaboard issue as i won't really be living aboard!

Interesting if there is anywhere cheap at all!!
 
Depends on how you define a marina- obviously most are the commercial concerns we know and loathe but there are also yacht clubs with facilities sometimes indistinguishable. My guess is that the "cheapest in the UK" winner will be one of those.

Ok good stuff. I am talking a pontoon. Walk ashore. Water and electricity. Toilets and shower. I am a wimp.....
 
I know a marina with the cheekiest, argumentative and most disrespectful manageress. The marina is one of the most expensive in Scotland. Maybe that is why it is so expensive for the abuse you are given.
 
Cheapest pontoons I've come across and admittedly a few years ago was Anstruther.

OK - OK - I know - it mostly dries but a more friendly bunch of folk in a great setting you couldn't wish for.

Actually Google tells me an hour and twenty.

But amazingly cheap.... £658 a year for my 8m boat..... Though Google suggests muttering about them going up!
 
The Highland harbours pontoons are pretty cheap, for 9m if you buy a month's worth of visitor fees it works out less than a fiver a day. Plenty of space in Lochinver, less in KLB, little in Gareloch, none in Kyleakin.

Yes cheap. Under £1000 a year for a permanent berth.

I wonder if they track you down if you buy 30 nights and then another 30 nights? Or maybe that's not against the rules?

I was in Lochinver a couple of years ago. Very nice. But im not sure about staying a long time!!

On our round Britain and Ireland trip in 2013 Kinlochbervie was very good value. It may be different now. Probably a bit too far off the beaten track for most people though!
 
I was just at Avoch today on the Moray Firth.
A lovely little harbour all be it dries out but with pontoon for boats that can take the ground and plenty of space to lie against the harbour wall.
Certainly a place I would head for if timing tidal access to the Caledonian canal.
