Very interesting indeed. Although I would think it might take another couple of years for further development before we might apply it to our precious boat. Still, it's a start!

Now I don't think I'm excessively paranoid - as a general principle I prefer cockup theory to conspiracy theory, and tend to assume that "They" have better things to do than watch me. Even so, my gut feeling is that our current government's instinct is to control, and combined with that, this does worry me.

unlikely ever to be really suitable for a yacht due to the problems of siting the aerial. should be ok for mobo and possibly for a multihull with a large bridgedeck.
