The Shrimper has the advantage of being trailered which has got to add quite a premium, the same goes for bilge over long keel as you get cheaper moorings. Smaller long keel boats with deeper drafts are the cheapest of the lot. My pretty 1996 Folksong 26 which was beautifully fitted out inside and in very good conditon with high spec fittings, mast etc and a recent brand new Yanmar 1GM was worth 5.5K
It was a hell of a lot of boat for your money but you have to pay half the price of the boat each year to keep it in the water, trailer sailers are peanuts to use so worth the extra.
If i am going to pay 2K a year to keep my boat afloat it would be nice to do it in a bit more style and luxury of space the Yawl/Crabber provides
