I did a search on eBay and came up with this unit (at about a quarter of the price)

While building the yacht I've worked on the principle that if a pump (or device) fails and it only results in a bit of inconvenience I'll economize by going cheap. But when it comes to gear like bilge pumps I get the very best (Rule)

The Specifications state it has a "Flow filter": sounds promising?
