Anyone know of good deals going on oileys anywhere? It's mainly for sailing the solent area through the winter, probably no more than 2 hour sails if the weather is extreme. Said teenager seems to grow several inches everytime I nip out for a newspaper so I'm looking for low cost as he'll oputgrow it in no time

Try your local builders merchant.
Seriously the Hi- vis coats you see on construction sites and roadworks are excellent. My work coat has been known to get afloat. Fully lined, elastic cuffs warm, comfortable and waterproof all for £16 +VAT.
Whether cool enough for a teenager is another matter, but it does look different, and you would easily spot him if he fell in.

What about these from Compass 24 Offshore oilies starting at £130 for the full set

Here's the blurb...

Breathable oilies that will keep you warm, comfortable and dry even when sailing offshore. Amazing performance for the price, this 3-part suit features a zip-out fleece lined rip-stop bodywarmer and a well equipped jacket with retro -reflective strips on the shoulders cuffs and front, double storm cuffs, 2-way front zip and double storm flap, fleece lined high collar and handwarmer pockets, water resistant cargo pockets, high performance roll-away hood, mesh lining and a harness tunnel (harness extra). The high fit trousers have reinforced knees and seat and wide elasticated adjustable braces and strong velcro tabs at the ankles. All seams on the jacket and trousers are tape sealed and the hydrophilic coating ensures complete waterproof, windproof yet breathable protection. The rip-stop/fleece bodywarmer can also be worn separately in its own right and is great to wear on colder days.

lidl...the cheapy supermarket, still have some in from an offer a couple of months ago, £25 jacket & same for hitop trsrs, they're breathable, & you wouldnt believe the quality they are for the price, there fine as coastal kit , well designed - equvalent to a £125 pair set.. happy hunting

You could try Decathlon if you are anywhere near one of there stores. I had a set of there breathable oily trousers and they were pretty good but the lining disintegrated after about 2 years.
