Cheap entry to flybridge cruising

looks like a bargain- probably a much better buy than some of the late 1980s boats around asking a lot more. Anyone know anything about the builder?

Was this yet another custom or home built boat built on the Bennet hull which started life at Princess and ended up with the Colvic name on the side .
Think the last of many reincarnations "The Sunquest" version mould is up for sale on Ebay.

I know a fair amount. These were yard finished versions of Colvic moulds.
Admiral went up to about 60 ft and disappeared in the mid 2000s

Were exhibited at SIBS in 2004 for sure (I have pics and a brochure somewhere)

I remember Admiral from way back - they used to advertise in MBY & MBM. I had the feeling back then that they were very low volume and trying to compete with Fairline & Princess but not high enough quality, design finesse and not cheap enough in comparison with those brands. Could well make a decent 2nd hand buy now though

It is a fair trek from the Med though.
Several thousands of pounds to get her there and more to get further into the Med.
In relation to the buying price, maybe it would make it less attractive.

Yet another deluded company thinking that building boats was a route to riches!

I suppose that the "Admiral" name must have been used by more than one company, because the following thing is what it made pop to my mind... Not exactly what you could call a "cheap entry"!
