Cheap de-humidifiers

Homebase have a de-humidifier at £77+ cheapest I've seen, so I'm going to get one for 'Driving Force' along with an oil fuelled radiator on a timer switch, but friends say heater & dehumidifier will just compete against themselves, so no heater needed. Any views?

depends on whether you wanna be dry and cold or dry and warm

De-humidifiers are better at there task in warm air. If the air temperture drops below about 5C, the dehumidifier will freeze up if it is running for more than 10 - 15 minutes

Some d/h dont have hot defrost and can completly ice up or stop working at lower temps . So keep the temp well above the relative dew point for maximum efficiency. The higher the temp the more moisture will be liberated to be zapped up by the unit. Dave .
