I've got until the end of the year to sell my 26 foot bilge keeler in the marina, after which she will need to be [strike]scuttled[/strike] moved and stored ashore. I'm expecting her not to sell before January so I'm putting together a few contingency plans incase someone has to move her to a yard.

I'm looking for something around the £100 per month mark, so I've ruled out MDL and even Kemps Quay who want £200 smackeroos a month for shore storage! Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps I'm missing somewhere that isn't listed on Google...

Cheers

Wicor have an on-line quote function on their web-site but I think you may be too late as they get a lot of demand - worth asking I would say.. IoW will be expensive to get to and possibly off-putting for potential buyers. You may get deal in Poole - several small yards to choose from. What about Keyhaven??

Alas, Wicor isn't the price it used to be. This may be the price of everyone recommending the place and it filling up with boats... :-(

Have a look along the Itchen with Google Maps and you will see several yards full of boats on the eastern side. Dropping down to Streetview will often let you see a sign at the entrance to get the name. None of them exactly look pricey :)

Do you mean Woolston side? There are also one or two on the west side with some onshore storage like Itchen Marine Towage.

And there is also Quayside Marina (thinks that's what its called) next to Kemps Quay. With reference to Kemps, suspect they have put up price for onshore storage as they have less room than they use to what with the big marquee and more units.
