cheap azimut anyone

50 isnt their greatest model. Ok, as with all Azimut boats the styling is there and the finishes are lovely but at 50ft many (most?) are looking for a third cabin. Even the older 46 offered a bunk cabin as an option without compromising the other two (3 cab boats had a smaller galley and second sofa in saloon but 1st/2nd cabins were identical). Bigger (but older again) 55 offers three proper cabins and a mid ships master with big windows.

The 50 kind of sits in the middle - not as nice as the 55 not as cheap as the 46. I know all this because I looked hard at one while I was chasing boats around last year and I came to the above conclusions.
I'm not saying everyone wants 3 cabins etc and someone will want it for sure but the two cabin market is much much smaller - its why the Squadron 52 has always struggled. Whats the point of a med party boat if you cant get your mates on for the weekend? with the 50, two blokes and to get a third hes in the saloon. With a Phantom 50, Azi 46 or 55, Squadron 55, 50/47 or even some 43s, Sealine T50/51/52 and some T46/47, Princess 50 and 45, My Ferretti, plus the 135, 48, 53, and 530, you get a mix of doubles and twins that mean you can have 4/5 blokes on board with no saloon use and without anyone having to cuddle.

I'm not so convinced that its especially cheap either (I mean for the type of boat, not the model). Its not expensive, but its not at a 'wow I have to have it price' that might tempt some to use the single berth crew as a (very tight) 3rd 1/2 cabin. Yes other AZ50s are more asking more but I don't think they are selling either. As I say, some will love the 2 cabin layout but the majority at this size will be looking for 3

A good price but not a total bargain. The 50 is a slightly odd size at 16m. Most Med berths seem to be 15 or 18 so an Azi 55 will cost the same to berth but you get more space and nice big master cabin windows.

Third cabin was an option on the 50 as well. 50 is a better sea boat then the 55, and what make a lot of people like it was that the aft deck is the same size as the 55. They sold around 300 of these.
If you can live with two cabins I guess it can do. If she is in general good condition I think she is about 30-50k off real value.
We had two 50s sell locally in pretty short time (300 and 280 Euros) in recent times. So IMO they sell fast as well.

Price just dropped. It's in the med.
Still, Not exactly walking out the door.

Don't get me wrong, it's far from a bad boat and I'm sure it will sell. By rights it should be the next AZ50 to go.
If there was a three cabin option and this is the 2 cab version that makes it even more out of kilter as you have more versitile 3 cab versions of the same model.

Even 2 cab versions of the 46 cab be a bit sticky and at that size it's more acceptable

They did a 47 too ,so,s there’s a lot about .Not sure how many sleeping cabins the 47 has ?
There’s 3 here and more on the other side .
Interestingly no families just 60/ 70 somthings all Fr flagged retires ,sound nice and the old boys are good @ parking .
Well that’s the demo graph owner of these. They wear well in the Med ,the boats :)

The berth could be € 200K as much as the boat , so it’s really a € 400 K venture here .

Yup the big problem is the lack of 3rd cabin. I'm really not sure why boat designers think that anyone would want a 2 cabin 50 foot flybridge boat especially when smaller models in their range have 3 cabins. I remember that Fairline did the same with the Squadron 52 in that they introduced it with just 2 cabins and then had to shoe horn a 3rd cabin into it when the market gave it the thumbs down. Also agree that this Az50 is not all that cheap either. Seems about right to me for an 11yr old 50 footer
