Not at all - the boat is still there to be enjoyed. We haven't taken it out for nearly three monthe, but we've been there several days each week.

I'm pretty sure the bridge can open, though I've never seen it do so. The bigger problem is that the lock gates between the basins are long gone - there's a coffer dam in place that would require a crane to open it.

Probably, I couldn't remember if the bridge to St Mary's Island (just to the East of the marina basin) was capable of opening or not.
