My boat has a Navman which takes C-MAP NT charts.

I'm buying the relevant cruising guides. Can I use these and the C-MAP cruising charts (and a few paper charts for route planning and backup) or am I going to need more detailed (standard) C-MAP charts all along the route.

Also can you update the cards on route (France, Spain, Portugal)? Or do you have to mail them back home?

Re C-Map charts you can update them from Australia,France,italy,norway,Poland,Russia,UK,USA E-Mail me if yo require addresses, and also the cheapest way to upgrade them.

I understand that there is a large trade in photocopied charts and chart exchange between boats.
