Clearly Phil Bostock made better use of 'lockdown time' than most of us. I have some idea about the ingenuity involved to collect and process the data that was involved, and can only applaud.

Phil's survey equipment is home built & consists of a small data logger coupled to a gps & echo sounder, the transducer is mounted in a small float that trails behind his sailing dinghy or tender, the electronics in a waterproof box onboard. Then he goes for a sail & it does its thing. But writing the software to convert all the data into something that can be used as a chart is something else. Top man!
I have suggested he does Sharfleet one day as every time i go in there i have a close shave with one lump or another!
