Chartplotter Raymarine RC 200 versus Geonav 4c

Can anyone advise if the Raymarine RC200 is going out of production I was thinking of buying this or the Geonav but am now a bit unsure which hanldheld chart plotter to go for (all be it the Geonav came out top in this month YM). The Geonav seems harder to track down at a discounted price compared to the Raymarine

Initially thought of the Lowrance 3500c but am limited for space on the coach roof under the sprayhood due to winch handle clearance.
The other thought I had was to fit in on a bracket arrangement that could be pivoted out from the companion way although am unsure how stable this would be?, if anyone has done something similar any advice would be much appreciated

Price for price the Lowrance is extremely good value and I am very pleased ...

The mounting as you consider .... is perfectly feasible and I already know one guy who has done just that .... a small ply board hinged from port side of companionway ... has brass hook to eye to keep it hinged back as cabin or out for cockpit view.......

I'm lucky in that my engine box has a large top and part extends behind the divan set ... mine is mounted there with a central screw through the bracket ....... allowing it to turn either inwards or out etc.
