So SWMBO and I have chartered all over Europe - but never Turkey.

We love Greece and our favourite company there would be Nicos Yacht Charter - small company, British owned, chartering yachts that are owners vessels - generally quite new.

Can anyone please recommend a similar charter company in Turkey ?

Another +1 for Top Yacht. Try Gocek in Fethiye Bay. The bay alone has loads of excellent anchorages, rickety taverna docks and good sailing.

Just thought that I would report back on our charter experience in Turkey - which was excellent.

We eventually found a company in Göcek who actually owned the boats that they charter - there so many out there presenting as yacht charter companies but in reality are just go betweens.

IRMAK Yachting, (run by Turkish husband and wife) proved to be a prefect choice - great customer service and well presented yachts.

The cruising grounds around Göcek are fabulous - we wanted to get to Kaş , about 63 miles south but didn't make it. Settled for Kalkan instead which was good., (try to avoid turtles when anchoring !).

The weather Late October early November was perfect - if not a little hot at times.

All good fun, thoroughly recommend.
