Just wondering if anyone has any experience of chartering in the med in April i.e. the easter hols? I have chartered many times out of the main season in June and Sept but never April. I would ideally like to charter in Southern Croatia but was wondering if Turkey would be noitceably warmer at this time of year?

Any thought/advice much appreciated, really just wondering about the likely climate - temp and winds?

Best wishes

Richard

A couple of years ago I chartered over Easter (early April) for 10 days from Vieste/Italy and crossed to Dubrovnik. It was a lovely cruise, with some windy days, some with beautiful sunshine and 2 with pouring rain.

Last year I chartered from Tuscany and delivered the boat to Sardinia via Elba and Corsica - some windy days, some rain, some sun.

However, the ports are totally empty, the anchorages too, and the locals are friendly (if you can find them, normally in a busy seafront like Bonifacio with dozens of restaurants only one or two are open - but thats where it gets good!

You see, I love sailing the Med early in the season, but then I love some wind and do not mind getting wet.
