Take swimwear in your hand luggage

Yes we're flying into Barbados then on to Union. The only flight booking where I have been asked my weight!

Be aware that the flight from Barbados has to land in daylight at Union, so if your London to Barbados 'plane is late your hold luggage may arrive at Union on the following day. It has happened to us, twice! I strongly recommend that you pack some swimwear in your hand luggage.

Palm island (which is private) opposite Union island has a beautiful beach and a restaurant for visitors.

DJE, I've just had a look in my lockup and found my Windward Island Doyles as well as an Imray Grenada to Virgins Cruising Guide and a couple of Imray charts of the Grenadines. They're all from about 2008 which was our first trip out there but most of the sailing info should still be valid. If you would like to borrow them for planning your trip please let me know.

That's very generous of you but I now have a Doyles guide and an Imray chart of the area from a friend at our club who has been before.
