This was on flotilla even further back than that, when there was some danger of harbourmasters asking awkward questions. So the company (Island Sailing in this case, a precursor of Sunsail) issued their own certificates!

Yes, forgot that one. I had one from Artemis Sailing. Little card that looked like it was printed with a John Bull printing set.

I remember those - Sunsail weren’t the only ones doing them as we did them at Setsail too. Also positive experience on Neilson - both their sailing and skiing holidays! The possible suspects for the Naughty N company is narrowing down.

Yes a quick google of Ionian Sailing and a subsequent browse around a site that reminds me of 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea for some reason which I just can’t put my finger on..?

Seems to be a lack of pictures of their boats, lots of panoramic bay photos with boats 300 metres away, perhaps a contender for the naughty ‘N’ charter company!

I don't often see mention of Setsail here. According to my tabulation (mjcoon.plus.com/page38.htm) we sailed with them for nine years, probably until the split between the proprietors. Were you in their operations? And nowadays we sometimes (such as this year) we go with Julian's company Sunscape.

Yes, I worked there for three years before I moved to Hong Kong in 2010, both in the med during the summer and the Sudbury office in the Winter. They ceased trading a few years later when the owner retired. He used to keep a GibSea 97 at Woolverstone back in the day.

We enjoyed a wonderful flotilla holiday with Setsail out of Poros in 2003. Saronic gulf the first week, Argolic gulf the second. Well maintained boats, with a charming and helpful lead crew.

It was an important moment for me, as it was my chance to sell the pleasures of sailing to my wife and (then) young daughters. Successfully, I’m pleased to say.

We are still in touch with people off three of the other boats, even 20 years later.
