SWMBO's doing her Day Skipper theory, bless 'er and she asked the fount of all knowlege (me /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) what a symbol on her practice chart means. At which point the fount dried up!

It's a magenta rectangle and on each face there's a circle with 3 or 4 little lines, just like little legs a couple of mm long, pointing towards the centre of the rectangle.

It's in over 20m of water, but on one of the excercises, it's described as a hazard. Since I don't think there are enough offshore Mr Men farms to warrant their own chart symbol, Wottizzit?

This is what to say. 'Surely, my Dear, you will have looked at Chart 5011, Admiralty Chart symbols and Abbreviations? And yes Darling, it is a booklet and not an actual chart any more.' Thereby shifting responsibility and remaining the font.

Shrimper - thanks, that makes sense.

Capnsensible - Your plan has merit and would have stood a chance if we'd been on the boat, when I could have got it out and given it to her, but boat's 100 miles away. Thanks to shrimper, I'll still be the fount, albeit with a slight delay!
