I would appreciate some guidance please. The more I think the more I get confused.
Until recently I used MX Mariner on a Samsung Galaxy tablet and phone.
I've changed phones and the tablet is about to die. I have been gifted an iPad from daughter and trying to get to grips with that.
MX Mariner is discontinued for new users and cannot be transferred to new devices, it still works on the old ones, but on borrowed time.
I've tried Imray Navigator and like it but can't understand how to make it work offline.
I don't like The appearance of Navionics charts but expect I will get used to that. Same problem with offline use.
Marine Navigator (via VMH) looks good but
doesn't seem to cover Belgium & Holland.
Any help appreciated, ta.

If your problem is making the apps work offline, you should check your iPad. Not all of them have GPS onboard. If your iPad has no cellular capability, it needs WiFi to find a position and you can’t use it to navigate offline.

If your iPad does not have cellular capacity (sim card) then it also won't have a GPS built in. This can be overcome by using a Garmin GLO 2 bluetooth GPS which works well and I use with an iPad.
