I intend to buy a Garmin 4008 to go on the flybridge of our new boat. (Purchase being finalised at the present time, more details soon)

The Surface it needs to mount to, is not a steep enough angle to view it. The only way at present would be to use the adjustable mount that comes with it.

However, I would prefer to have some sort of fixed arrangement where the plotter is permanently fitted.

So I need some sort of mount/fiberglass angled box to fit it into permanently

Does anyone make such a thing?

I hope that makes sense

Sounds like a simple DIY project, Just tape some into the shape you want and class over that, cut out the view section and fit some Lexan clear.

You can get a smooth finish with a bit of sanding and some flow-coat.

Avagoodweekend......
