I have to go from Bradwell to Burnham yacht harbour next wednesday for a mid season haul out & jetwash as the copper coat has really failed miserably this year .( I have weed 8 inches long having launched late april & sailed 1250 miles so I have not just sat in the marina )

Can someone please direct me to a free chart of the entry that I can print out for the trip from the swin. It is years since I went into the crouch & the swallow tail never existed then. In those days I took my Stella via the Ray Sand but no way will I go that way with my current boat ( so do not even suggest it please)

Try the download area on

From that website the downloads also include one of the Raysand which has been re-buoyed in recent years. Why go to the swin unless the tides don't work. I shall be hoping across on Thursday 1 to 1.5 hours before HW. Ok you have to plug the tide from Bradwell but it is much quicker.

Unfortunately I don't do your mileage but I came out in May after 16 months from being coppercoated and a jet wash was all it needed before being abraded. Hardly a trace of weed.

I always have to have mid season scrub as copper coat is rubbish.
It such a pain that Bradwell marina want £ 345-00 & Burnham Yacht Harbour want £ 125-00 so the trip is a no brainer really

Even though the boat is always laid up for winter & launched mid April I invariably have to have mid season mid holiday lift outs in . It is a fact of life that half way through my hols I normally have to stop somewhere for a scrub since having coppercoat .It just so happens that this year I am at home mid season before leaving for another 5 weeks again soon . If I can get somewhere with fresh water - ie Cally Canal - for a week then it helps but copper coat saves a load of work re antifoulling each year & the haulout versus paint cost is not much different so I tend to stop somewhere & get a lift out when the boat starts to slow down.

You could try Visit My Harbour, there are 3 separate charts for download there I think: http://www.visitmyharbour.com/harbours/east-coast/crouch-marinas/
