Chart encapsulation

This is good to know, having just taken deliver of the west coat portfolio, there are one or two that will be regularly used and could benefit from this service. Do you think you can still do corrections of the chart?

SPECIALIST MAP ENCAPSULATIONDespite advances in technology, millions of us still like to use a traditional style paper map. It does have it’s disadvantages. Fraying, tearing and if you get it wet, well, you might as well throw it away.
Here at Thames, we have the answer!
Using an ultra thin Matt polyester film to cover and seal your printed maps, you will benefit from:
• A contemporary, weatherproof finish
• Lightweight
• Easy to fold
• Protection from moisture, dirt and grease
• A surface you can write on and wipe clean
We already work in partnership with the leading national map agency of Great Britain,
so why go anywhere else?

You can do the corrections, but I think you'd need to experiment with the inks/pen used to ensure permanence. I suspect a solvent based permanent marker would be necessary - water basedmarkers would probably wipe off. Some kind of Sharpie pen?

Irt wasn't an issue for us - we produced new maps every season anyway.
