Hi Forumites,

I recall reading an article n updating paper charts a few issues ago in PBO, but for the life of me cant remember the pen they recommended in the article.

Does anyone have the article to hand?

If it was the recent edition which covered Imray charts, Imray recommend a Uniball Signo. I think it is the 151:

There are a few different Signo types. Mine isn't a 151 (don't think- can't remember) but it works very well on Imray paper and I've tried a few things over the years. If you are using Admiralty paper you will find a wider range of pens do the job.

Hope this helps

Correct - i used an amazing device called a "telephone" and "spoke" with a "person" who kindly informed me IMRAY sell the very pen they use... UM-151 Signo

Thanks All!

That's a 0.38mm though, which is probably a bit fat. The one on the Imray site linked by the OP is 0.28mm which is better, though I'd prefer thinner if it was available. It's hard to do the little buoys etc neatly with a pen that's too wide, without drawing them obnoxiously large.

I just visited our local stationery shop and got a fine violet felt tip. I haven't actually used it as my charts are so old that they're no longer updatable.
