Charging laptop on boat

50MB high resolution files on OM1 need some horsepower. Will only spec up SSD to 512 and graphics to 10 core, leaving RAM at 8gb. I can easily take an external SSD. Will be interesting to see how that performs compared to my i7 iMac with 32gb Ram

If you can I would recommend at least 16Gb of RAM, ideally the whole 24Gb. This will minimise swap to Disk. I have 16Gb and occasionally get the "out of system memory' message when processing many large files and having many browser tabs open.

Not at Apple prices. My iMac is the last of the intels so I could upgrade memory myself
