Charging batteries using suitcase generator vs marina shorepower

I have a 60amp charger. When I connect to shore power and the batteries are relatively empty I will see 40-50 amps flowing into the batteries (bulk charging) and then will gradually fall the more the batteries get full. Will charging the batteries via a 2kv suitcase generator instead (using the 240v output and by connecting the shore power cable) follow the same way of charging? In other words will the charger behave the same in both ways of charging? Thanks

Yes. I use a Honda EU10i and a 60A charger, and get exactly what i do from shorepower.

Yes ... and the reason is that its the Charger that is deciding the charge rate ... not the power source.
