Chaparral 290 signature 2002/2004

I would appreciate any comments on the chaparral 290 signature 2002/2004 year model with twin yanmar 190hp diesels,
Has anybody got any experiance of this model,if so is there anything in particular i should look for if i look at one,boating would mainly be river and estuary

I have just sold a 2002 Chap 290 with twin Yanmar 240 diesels a very fast baot but not good at river speed. Even with the 190,s which are 200hp at the fly wheel it is still a 35 knot + boat. I would suggest taht if inland and river speeds are your only cruising groung I would go for a different type of boat. Dont get me wrong Chaps are as good as the best if not better in most cases and the 290 is a e31 foot boat with huge internal and cockpit space better than most 32 footers but she is an out and out sports cruiser.

I know the boat you are talking about now. Itts been there for at least a year so worth a punt.
