Thanks Ken for the correction.
Was covered in the media here as being for speeding, but suspected the wrong direction (which I do not recall being mentioned in the media, but found out about later) may have been the key.
Along similar lines when Club Med passed through Cook Strait (from North to South) the media told us he wanted a strong Southerly (sic) to blow them through. The media obviously make these things up to improve the story.
