Thank you all for the detailed reply. I totally accept the posters comments about the Rival. It is also interesting to note that the RYA have a figure for the Hanse 320 that is higher than the Byron data.
I think that I have heard that a 4% allowance should be given for a kite. Byron are happy to have me at 1000 points which I accept completely. I still believe that the other handicaps don't always take into account the possible inclusion of spinnakers
